Hologram I.d New York

+ + + flash tasting + + + 1990 Rauenthaler Wülfers Riesling dry Spätlese State Kloster Eberbach

Aged Rieslings ... always an exciting adventure. Today visited the Direttore glass a 1990 Spätlese the Hessian State Wine Domains Kloster Eberbach . Known are the ruins of the monastery including the cinematic masterpiece "The Name of the Rose" by the late producer genius Bernd Eichinger. The estate has about 200 hectares. This covers the Rheingau out of the Hessische Bergstrasse. 21 years old? For a dry late harvest is not chicken feed. In the glass it comes in a rich golden yellow. The bouquet smells over behavior. Light tones for Petrol, fennel and ripe pears. The palate is primarily an acidic note of lemon and rhubarb. Flat palate feel and thin body can not load a second glass. The finish is short and expressionless. This Spätlese has unfortunately behind ... well, dry ... dry it is!
